Photography is not just a camera. I realized that it demands equipment and knowledge about it. So, I researched what would I like to add to my existing equipment, where I already have a memory card, battery, and camera bag.
First what I thought about was a tripod. A lot of pictures must be taken while the camera is dead still and for this, I need a tripod. I researched and I couldn’t find a specific Nikon tripod, but I am happy about the great tripods offered at the CEWE photo shop. Since I am a beginner and I am not in the urge to get myself the most expensive tripod, I set myself a price range from 1000NOK to 1500NOK. I chose two options which were either Sirui Traveler 5AX Stativ or Rollei C5i Aluminum. Sirui for the great price of 1287NOK can offer height from 16.8cm to 138.8cm, and ball friction. In addition, Sirui is lightweight, only 1kg, and has rubber feet which sure the stability of the camera. On the other side, there is Rollei, which price is 1329NOK and it is offering heights from 17.5cm to 159cm, rubber feet, lightweight, and ball friction too. I really like both and even if I would like to choose Sirui, would love this tripod to have a higher capacity, as Rollei has.
My second thoughts have been about something smaller, like batteries! I already had one included, together with a charger, so no complaints! But I have been reading articles about photographers having one or two fully charged batteries, just in case! I haven’t been taking too many pictures so that I would face this struggle, but I will definitely need one extra. So, I got straight to the original Nikon battery from CEWE Photo, which price is 869NOK. Nothing new, nothing special, one more battery same as mine. But since the price looks a bit shocking to me, I checked Amazon, and they are offering the same Nikon EN-EL25 batteries for 19.99$ (144NOK) but the reviews have been awful, so I focused on what CEWE can offer.
One more thing from small type equipment would be an extra SD memory card. I have my own right now, 128GB by PNY Elite-X SDXC and I paid a reasonably low price of 259NOK at Elkjøp. I know that it is good to have the highest quality SD card as SanDisk, so again, I researched and CEWE was again offering its best prices for SD cards. SanDisk SDXC Extreme Pro 128GB 200MB/s UHS-I C10 V30 U3 at CEWE can get for 699NOK but it is also the same memory card offered by Scandinavian Photo and the price drops to 599NOK! So, not a rush but a good purchase to think about!
Lastly, even though the lens of Nikorr 16-50mm was added, I am craving of getting a Nikorr 50-250mm. Of course, there is no substitute for it so must go with the original product, and on CEWE it has a price of 4494NOK. I feel an urge of getting this lens but it is quite not for my budget at the moment so it will have to wait, unfortunately. There are other stores as Dustin Home or Stjørdal Foto who are offering this Nikorr lens too, but their prices are higher, 4875NOK and 4989NOK.
