Part 1. Sketching
I had to use the Word Stacking method to get an idea flow for sketching. Used 25 cards of each (as recommended in the video) and came out with many crazy ideas! Some were so funny, that I could instead perform them as in the charade game than sketching them out. Anyway, I chose 10 from 25 of the most relevant ideas which were so good that they even gave me goosebumps, haha. I will attach some images of the process.
Made a few sketches of my favorite Word Stacks. Gave me more ideas for the final book cover for the course assignment! Still looking forward to work on number seven and finally combine everything into cool and outstanding book cover.
Part 2. Tutorial
Have been watching this incredible tutorial on how to use the pathfinder tool and shape builder tool. It was fun and opened more possibilities for working with Adobe Illustrator, especially for a person like me, who is interested in creating illustrations. The only struggle I caused for myself is that I didn’t color the shapes before putting them into the Celtic Cross. But with the help of the Shape Builder tool, managed to color my shapes. Yay!
I decided to take away the contour line, and make it just nice colored shapes.
